The Packers finished 26th in Rick Gosselin's annual special-teams rankings. That's a six-spot jump from dead last in the 2018 season. Perhaps the best thing first-year coordintor Shawn Mennenga's units did was reduce penalties. They cut them in half from 26 last season to 13 this past year, fourth fewest in the NFL.

Nothing suggests the Packers need for another starting receiver more than the fact that opening-day No. 2 Marquez Valdes-Scantling played one snap on Sunday. After his lone 100-yard game in Week 7, he caught just six passes for 44 yards the rest of the season. Here are the offensive snap counts the NFC Championship Game loss at the 49ers.

The Packers' defense was so porous that 49ers RB Raheem Mostert gained 142 of his 220 yards rushing BEFORE contact, including 108 of his 160 yards in the first half. CB Tramon Williams said: "The guy was just gashing us the whole night, and I'm talking about it wasn't little holes, it was huge holes." ESPN Daily: The Chiefs/49ers Super Bowl is set

Super Bowl LIV is set! The 49ers sent Aaron Rodgers and the Packers...packing. Then, the Chiefs engineered another comeback victory to steal away the Titans' championship dreams. ESPN NFL insider Bill Barnwell breaks down how we wound up with the teams that will meet in Miami.

Aaron Rodgers believes the Packers' Super Bowl window is open. "I think we're going to be on the right side of one of these soon," Rodgers said. When asked why, Rodgers said because of GM Brian Gutekunst and his staff plus Matt LaFleur. Rodgers clearly feels different about this team than he did after their last NFC title game loss after the 2016 season.

Aaron Rodgers admitted the gap "looks pretty big" between the Packers and 49ers but said "I don't think it's that big."

The first thing Tramon Williams said was: "Eight passes. The rest was runs. The first rule of football is ‘Stop the run' and we didn't do that." The Packers corner played with Raheem Mostert in Cleveland in 2015 and said: "The kid's fast — track and field fast. He made some money tonight."

In the last three playoff games against the Packers, the 49ers have averaged 258.3 yards rushing per game and 38.3 attempts. That's 6.7-yards per attempt with nine rushing TDs.
