Jimmy Graham officially questionable for Sunday vs. Denver. Lane Taylor OUT. As Matt LaFleur said, Elgton Jenkins will make his first start. Here's the full injury report:

Za'Darius Smith said yesterday he was treating the entire defense dinner last night. Guys asked him: “Z, what's the limit?' There was none, and Smith said the bill was about $5,000 at Republic Chophouse in Green Bay -- not as bad as he thought it would be. He's taking his defensive captain position seriously. He said: “I told the defense yesterday, I said, ‘Guys we're 2-0 but we haven't arrived. But one thing, I'm going to take you all out to dinner tonight.' To do little things like that, I feel like it's good to bring the team together as far as the defense and we just get to know each other outside of football. Those are the little things I feel like one reason coach wanted me to be a captain and some of my teammates because they voted for me. I'm going to keep going with it and keep striving to be this leader and this captain for this team.”

Matt LaFleur said Jimmy Graham (groin) "looked good" in today's practice. "I'm excited for him," LaFleur said. The Packers did add another tight end (Evan Baylis) to the roster this week but barring a setback, it sounds like Graham will be available Sunday against the Broncos.

Elgton Jenkins is expected to start at left guard on Sunday against the Broncos, coach Matt LaFleur said. Jenkins rotated with Lane Taylor last week and LaFleur said: "I was really fired up with Elgton. I thought he did a great job."

Jimmy Graham (groin) has a chance to play Sunday against the Broncos. He went through the early drills in practice after not practicing on Thursday. Coach Matt LaFleur said Graham wouldn't be a long-term issue but there was some concern about this week.

Rookie Elgton Jenkins played 2 series at left guard last week in a rotation with Lane Taylor. Now, it could be his job with Taylor sitting out with a biceps injury. Also, not practicing: WR Davante Adams (excused for personal matter), ILB Oren Burks (biceps), DT Montravius Adams (shoulder).

Why has Packers CB Jaire Alexander gotten off to such a strong start this season? Here's one possible reason: "He didn't want to cover anybody else but Davante [Adams] in camp," defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said.

No concerns about Darnell Savage's availability for Sunday. He was a full participant on Thursday after getting kicked in the shin vs. the Vikings. But it looks like it'll be at least another week for Oren Burks.

Packers special teams coach Shawn Mennenga said Tremon Smith and Darrius Shepherd will be the main options as kick returners. He wouldn't say if one would man kickoffs and the other would handle punts. Neither has played in an NFL game for the Packers ever.

Now that Trevor Davis is in Oakland, the Packers are auditioning guys for the return job. New CB Tremon Smith returned kicks in KC but not punts, however Matt LaFleur said he's not afraid to use Smith there, too. He raved about his speed, athleticism and productivity with the Chiefs.

Matt LaFleur said Jimmy Graham's groin bothered him Sunday but "he fought through it." Sounds like Graham could miss Sunday vs. Denver, but LaFleur said "I think in the long run he'll be all right."

TE Evan Baylis will be promoted from the practice squad, which is why he has switched his number to 88 from his previous No. 49. It's a sign the Packers are concerned about Jimmy Graham's groin injury.

Jimmy Graham (groin) went through some of the stretches but is not in pads or practicing. Same with Oren Burks (pectoral) and Montravius Adams (shoulder).
