SAINT JOHN, New Brunswick (Ticker) -- Rico Fata scored twice and added an assist to power the Saint John Flames to a 6-2 victory over the St. John's Maple Leafs. Fata, who leads the club with 29 goals, scored 2:21 into the second period to break a 1-1 tie and extended Saint John's lead to 4-2 with 13:45 left in the third. Dave Roche and Daniel Tkaczuk each added a power-play goal and an assist for the Flames, who improved to 7-2-3 against St. John's this season. Bobby House and Donald MacLean scored for the Maple Leafs, who had their winless skid extended to five games (0-4-1).
