WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (Ticker) -- Steve Larouche, Steve Maltais and Dave Mackey scored consecutive goals to open the shootout as the Chicago Wolves edged the Utah Grizzlies, 3-2. Larouche also set up Maltais' tying tally with one second left in the third period for Chicago, which overcame a two-goal decifit to capture its league-leading 48th win. Dallas Eakins netted a power-play goal 8:39 into the second period for the Wolves, who bounced back from Friday's 4-3 loss to Kansas City and won for the seventh time in eight games. Wendell Young stopped 18 shots in regualtion and 3-of-4 attempts in the tiebreaker, improving to 9-4 in shootouts. Dave Archibald and Ted Crowley scored in a 1:41 span of the second period for Utah, which has suffered four straight shootout losses.
