CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Joe Frederick and Kyle Calder scored 15
seconds apart late in the second period as the Cleveland
Lumberjacks defeated the Milwaukee Admirals, 5-2, to win the
first-round playoff series, two games to one. Frederick, who
also notched a goal in the first period, tallied at 14:20 and
Calder followed to close the scoring in the contest. Brett
Harkins supplied three assists for Cleveland, which will face
Grand Rapids in the second round. Marc Lamohte recorded 22 saves
to earn the win for the Lumberjacks. Brent Peterson scored both
goals for Milwaukee, which trailed, 2-0, after one period. Chris
Mason, who stopped 76 shots on Saturday to force Game Three,
made 23 saves in defeat.
