RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME LOG

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Jeff Cirillo hit a two-run homer off Kevin Brown and Brooks Kieschnick hit one of his two home runs off the Los Angeles ace as the Colorado Rockies beat the Dodgers 7-2 on Tuesday night.

Brown (6-3), who entered the game with an NL-leading 1.96 ERA, allowed six runs, seven hits and five walks in six-plus innings. His ERA is now 2.60.

Brian Bohanon (2-4) pitched 5 2-3 strong innings as the Rockies snapped the Dodgers' five-game winning streak.

Kieschnick, sidelined because of a strained left groin, came in to play left field in a double-switch with Bohanon and triggered a four-run seventh with a two-run homer to center in his first career at-bat against Brown.

Kieschnick, who came into the game with only five major league homers and none since 1997, added a solo shot in the eighth against Gregg Olson.

Bohanon allowed five hits with four strikeouts and two walks. The left-hander went on the disabled list May 8 with two bone spurs in his elbow, a day after surrendering eight runs in three-plus innings against the Mets. He was activated Saturday and pitched an inning of relief.

Bohanon had no problems with leadoff hitter Paul Lo Duca, who failed to get a hit for the first time in 18 starts this season after tying a Dodgers franchise record for hits in a game on Monday with a 6-for-6 effort.

Cirillo drove an 0-2 pitch to left center for his eighth homer and a 2-1 Rockies' lead following a two-out walk to Todd Helton.

Shawn Green's RBI single in the first gave the Dodgers a 1-0 lead.

Notes: The Dodgers have totaled fewer than two runs in four of Brown's last five starts. ... Lo Duca's six hits Monday equaled the most in one game by a Rockies opponent. Sammy Sosa also went 6-for-6 against them on July 2, 1993 at Denver's Mile High Stadium during the Rockies' inaugural season. ... Brown has allowed five home runs in 65 2-3 innings, after allowing a career-worst 21 homers last season. ...The Rockies claimed RHP Justin Speier on waivers from the Mets and designated RHP John Wasdin for assignment. ... Rockies OF Todd Hollandsworth, who suffered nerve damage when he fouled a pitch off his right shin on May 11, was put through a battery of tests by Dr. Michael Curtin on Tuesday. He will be on crutches for at least a week, and is scheduled for an MRI on Wednesday. ... Petrick, who had thrown out only three of 15 potential basestealers this season, ended the second and fourth innings by throwing out Adrian Beltre and Marquis Grissom at second.
