Hudler suspended following marijuana arrest

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Angels television analyst Rex Hudler was
suspended indefinitely by the team Thursday after his airport
arrest last weekend for investigation of possession of marijuana
and drug paraphernalia.

He violated company policy and will be replaced during upcoming
telecasts by Jose Mota of the club's Spanish radio team, the team
said.

Hudler, 42, was arrested at Kansas City International Airport on
Sunday and released after posting bond.

His agent, Joel Wolf, wasn't immediately available for comment.

Hudler, a utility player for the Angels from 1994-96, is in his
fifth season as the team's TV analyst. He played 10 years in the
minor leagues before making it to the majors and wound up playing
professionally for 21 years with 18 teams.
