Biggio becomes 23rd major-leaguer with 10,000 at-bats

ST. LOUIS -- Craig Biggio became the 23rd player in major-league history to accumulate 10,000 career at-bats on Monday when he grounded out to end the seventh inning.

Biggio was also hit by a pitch in the third, extending his modern-day record to 277. Biggio was six at-bats away from tying Frank Robinson for 22nd place on the career list.

Biggio, 40, is in his 19th season -- all with the Astros.
