Back forces Brewers' Braun out again

MILWAUKEE -- Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun is out of the lineup for the second straight game against the Arizona Diamondbacks because of a stiff back.

Braun said on Sunday that he's "day to day" and that there has been no discussion of him missing several games or going on the 15-day disabled list.

His back stiffened during Milwaukee's 5-2 loss on Friday night and he's been receiving extra treatment since then.

He believes the injury is related to a muscle strain in his rib cage that he suffered last season and again in spring training because the pain and stiffness feels similar and is in a similar area.

Braun is hitting .314 with five homers and 16 RBIs.
