Phils' Ruiz to return to lineup in 3-5 days

MIAMI -- Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said Wednesday that test results on Carlos Ruiz's injured wrist showed no structural damage and the catcher was expected to return to the field in three-to-five days.

Ruiz had been sent to Philadelphia for an MRI on his sprained left wrist.

Amaro added Ruiz will rejoin the team in Milwaukee for a series beginning Thursday.

Ruiz was hurt Friday night when he blocked the plate and tagged out Atlanta's Matt Diaz. X-rays on Saturday were negative.

After playing in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Florida, Ruiz said the wrist still bothered him.

Ruiz is batting .253 with nine homers and 42 RBIs in 104 games.
