Game 1 of the 1988 World Series between the Dodgers and Oakland. You know the story. Gibson, hobbled by two bum knees, didn't start but pinch hit with one on and two outs in the bottom of the ninth and L.A. down 4-3. Fouled off about a bajillion pitches and kept crumpling to the ground in the batter's box as he did. Finally connected and teetered around the bases, pumping his fist on the way. The Brewers' Ryan Braun certainly knows the story. He even knows where he'd sit if he could go back to that game. "I would have liked to have caught the ball. … I would be in the right-field bleachers, fourth row, fifth row," Braun said.
