Named National League Player of the Week for May 26-June 1 after reaching base in 13 consecutive plate appearances, one short of Pedro Guerrero's National League record of 14 set with the Dodgers in 1985.

Became first shortstop in ML histroy to join the 30/30 club, belting 33 home runs and swiping 36 bases ... Established career highs in runs (117), RBI (89) and home runs ... Earned Rawlings Gold Glove honors as well as his seventh selection to the Silver Slugger team ... Voted by the fans as the NL's starting shortstop for the All-Star game in Philadelphia ...
