Struggled through majority of season, posting career highs with a 5.32 ERA, 192 hits allowed and 67 walks ... Won back-to-back starts July 5, 13 ... Placed on 15-day DL on Aug. 16 (retroactive to Aug. 14) ... Activated from DL on Sept. 1.

1995
Spent most of the season on the disabled list with tendinitis, being placed on it on June 2 (retroactive to May 24) through the rest of the season ... Had rehabilitation assignments at Trenton (June 19-22), Sarasota (July 10-21 and Aug. 7-16) and Pawtucket (Aug. 16-23).

1994
After two no decisions to begin April, he won three consecutive starts and was 5-1 in six starts April 19-May 18 ... In the 12 games the Red Sox provided five or more runs, Sele was 8-0 (all of his wins) ... Opponents stole just six of 13 attempts against him during the year.

1993
Began the year at Class AAA Pawtucket, where he was named International League Pitcher-of-the-Year ... Called up to Boston June 22 after Roger Clemens went on the disabled list ... Went 6-0 with a 2.72 ERA in his first eight starts ... Allowed only one home run in his first nine games ... Pitched seven straight no-decision games Aug. 22-Sept. 22, leaving four with the lead and three with a tie ... Struck out 11 in his final start Sept. 28 vs. Detroit ...
