Braves trade for Jose Ramirez to pad bullpen

ATLANTA -- The Braves have added bullpen depth by acquiring hard-throwing right-hander Jose Ramirez from the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

The 25-year-old Ramirez was 1-0 with a 12.91 ERA in eight combined games with Seattle and the New York Yankees in 2015. Ramirez, a native of the Dominican Republic, was acquired by Seattle on July 30 in a trade that sent infielder Dustin Ackley to the Yankees.

Ramirez was 4-1 with 10 saves and a 4.16 ERA in 41 games with Triple-A Tacoma.
