Barraclough, who has a 23.14 ERA in his previous six outings, was removed Monday after giving up two hits, two walks and one run in the ninth inning of the Marlins' 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
"We're going to give [Barraclough] a day [off] today and then just work him back in," Mattingly said. "Hopefully the next inning we go out there, it's not walking the tightrope with no room for error. Just get him back on track.
"We'll try to piece it together as we get totally healthy. It's not going to be one guy. It could be anybody. That's kind of my early thinking of it."
Barraclough has 10 saves in 16 opportunities this season. He has given up 14 earned runs in his past 10⅔ innings.
