Weight cut? What weight cut? Joanna Jedrzejczyk got off to a fast start and never slowed down, battering Michelle Waterson for five bloody rounds on the way to a lopsided unanimous decision. Joanna makes a strong case that she should get the strawweight title shot she's been targeting.
Waterson is hanging on, but she's getting beaten up to the point where her corner has to be thinking about how much more she should take. Sure, she could catch Jedrzejczyk in a submission ... but it's more likely she'll get 5 more minutes of beatdown.
It's more of the same for much of Round 3 until Waterson gets Jedrzejczyk's back in the final minute, sinks in a neck crank that was on its way to being a rear-naked choke and almost gets the finish. Joanna survives, and might still have won that round.
