Promoters from Bellator, PFL, ONE and even Bare Knuckle FC have said they are not interested in signing legend Anderson Silva following Silva's UFC release. Japan's Rizin, however, won't shut the door on the 45-year-old Silva, according to a statement from CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara. Sakakibara said: "I haven't talked to [Silva] yet but I would be interested to see if we can come up with something that makes sense for him to start his final chapter in Japan."
UFC senior vice president of regulatory affairs Marc Ratner will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, it was announced Saturday night on the UFC 255 broadcast. Ratner is a former Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director and was integral in helping MMA get regulated across the world after he came to the UFC in 2006. Ratner, who is already in multiple boxing Hall of Fames, is one of the most accomplished regulators in combat sports history.
Fresh off a 30-second knockout last weekend, UFC welterweight Khaos Williams has agreed to face Michel Pereira at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 19 in Las Vegas, per sources. Neither of these guys are ranked (yet) ... but stylistically, this matchup is incredible.
