He made a strong comeback in PFL in 2022 with back-to-back wins over Anthony Pettis, but went 0-2 in this 2023 regular season.
Two fighters missed weight Friday morning at the official UFC Jacksonville weigh-ins. Aaron Pico will take on Pedro Carvalho in a featherweight contender fight at Bellator 299 on Sept. 23 in Dublin, the promotion announced Tuesday. Pico, still just 26 years old, has won seven of his last eight fights with the lone loss coming via injury. Carvalho, an SBG Ireland product, is 2-2 in his last four fights. Bellator 299 is headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Johnny Eblen and challenger Fabian Edwards.
