UFC bantamweight Melissa Gatto was suspended by USADA for one year due to a positive drug test for the banned substance furosemide. Gatto has yet to make her UFC debut. She'll be eligible to return in June 2020.
No. 8 seeded featherweight Gadzhi Rabadanov failed to make weight ahead of Thursday's PFL playoffs in Las Vegas, and will be replaced in the bracket by alternate Alexandre Almeida, the No. 9 seed. Almeida, who missed weight himself ahead of his first regular season bout, will face No. 1 seed Lance Palmer in the quarterfinals.
The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has granted former UFC fighter Francisco Rivera back his license to fight. The vote was 5-0. Rivera is currently serving a four-year USADA suspension, which won't be up until August 2020. He has been released by the UFC. Rivera has admitted to use of the banned substance clenbuterol, which he tested positive for in 2016. He was suspended by USADA in January 2018 and banned two extra years due to falsified claims.
