World Series of Fighting and NBC Sports Group announced on Tuesday a multiyear extension that will keep the promotion on the network through 2017.
In addition to renewing a partnership that began in 2012, the deal calls for WSOF to make its network television debut on NBC's primary channel on July 5.
A lightweight title fight featuring Justin Gaethje and Nick Newell will headline the WSOF 11 summer event. A second live event on NBC will take place on Dec. 27. In all, NBCSG will air 14 live WSOF events in 2014, according to a news release.
"We are excited to extend and broaden our partnership to continue to bring World Series of Fighting's unique brand of elite mixed martial arts to our viewers," said Jon Miller, president of programming for NBC and NBC Sports Network.
In addition to the lightweight title fight, WSOF 11 will feature the promotional debut of lightweight Melvin Guillard, who meets former teammate Gesias Cavalcante.
A welterweight trilogy bout between Jon Fitch and Josh Burkman has also been announced for the event.
