Bobby Green-Abel Trujillo set

A lightweight bout between Bobby Green and Abel Trujillo has been added to UFC 176 on Aug. 2 in Los Angeles.

UFC officials confirmed the 155-pound contest to ESPN.com on Monday. It is not yet known whether it will be part of the pay-per-view broadcast.

The bout, which features two of the better strikers in the division, was previously booked for UFC 169 in February, but Green was forced to pull out due to injury.

Green (22-5) is looking to build off a monster year in the Octagon in 2013. The 27-year-old lightweight started his UFC campaign by going 3-0, with decisive wins over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause and Pat Healy. A former Strikeforce standout, Green is currently on a seven-fight win streak.

Trujillo (12-5) was recently removed from a UFC card on June 28 in San Antonio. He was scheduled to fight Myles Jury, but the bout was scrapped when Jury was forced to pull out due to injury.

A member of the Blackzilians in Boca Raton, Fla., Trujillo is coming off a knockout win over Jamie Varner, who replaced Green, at UFC 169. He is 3-1 since signing with the UFC in 2012.

A featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes is set to headline UFC 176, which will take place at Staples Center.
