Junior dos Santos to face Stefan Struve at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 19

Former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will take on Stefan Struve in the main event of a UFC Fight Night on Feb. 19 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The heavyweight bout is a rematch of a fight that took place in 2009. Dos Santos scored a knockout win over Struve in just 54 seconds, which remains the fastest finish of his UFC career.

Dos Santos (18-4) hasn't fought since a lopsided, five-round decision over Ben Rothwell in April. The 32-year-old former champion underwent shoulder surgery shortly after the victory, which limited him to one appearance in 2016.

The Brazilian has alternated wins and losses in his past seven contests. He does hold a close decision win over current champion Stipe Miocic from a five-round fight in late 2014.

Struve (28-8) will look to build off a successful 2016 campaign. After coming into the year on a 1-3 skid, Struve posted back-to-back finishes over Antonio Silva and Daniel Omielanczuk.

Fighting out of the Netherlands, Struve will be making his 19th appearance in the UFC.

The televised UFC Fight Night event will take place at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
