Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje both stepped on the scale under the lightweight limit on Friday morning for their UFC Fight Night main event in Philadelphia, which takes place Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
Barboza and Gaethje both weighed in at 155.5 pounds. For a nontitle fight, the fighters could be no heavier than 156 pounds.
Barboza (20-6) is coming off a December body-punch knockout of Dan Hooker, which ended a two-fight losing streak for the Brazilian. Gaethje (19-2), who fights out of Colorado, also halted a two-fight skid in his last outing, a quick knockout of James Vick in August.
Of the 26 fighters on Saturday's card, only Ray Borg missed weight. Following a 17-month absence from the Octagon, Borg weighed in at 137.25 pounds. The limit for a nontitle bantamweight bout is 136. Borg will forfeit 30 percent of his purse to his opponent, UFC newcomer Casey Kenney.
