Maracaibo, Venezuela
Manager: Eduvino Queuedo
Coach: Jorge Urdaneta
Population: approx. 900,000
Location: Maracaibo is located in western Venezuela near the Colombian border and just south of the Gulf of Venezuela. The city is about 300 miles west of the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.
Where to look at in this part of the world: Venezuela is the only nation on the South American continent ever to send a team to Williamsport. In addition, all nine of the Venezuelan entries in the LLWS have come from leagues based in Maracaibo (Quila L.L. in 1965, Coquivacoa L.L. seven times between 1974-94 [incl. '94 LLWS Champions], and Sierra Maestra L.L. this year).
