Autopsy planned after Martinique player dies

Associated Press

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad -- A rugby player died after collapsing in a match at the international Caribbean Rugby Sevens Tournament in Trinidad and Tobago, officials said.

Burt Waldron, 24, was playing for Martinique's Good-Luck team against Scotland's Border Reivers team when he collapsed.

A team of Scottish trainers tried to assist the Tobago-born Waldron. He was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead on arrival, tournament organizers said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
