George Washington's leading scorer, Maureece Rice, has made himself available for the upcoming NBA draft, but he has not retained an agent and could still return to school.
The 6-foot-1, 224-pound junior guard from Philadelphia averaged 15.8 points per game last season for a Colonials team that went to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year. George Washington (23-9, 11-5 Atlantic 10) lost its first-round game to Vanderbilt.
Underclassmen have until April 29 to declare for the June 28 draft, but if they don't hire an agent they can withdraw their names until June 18.
Rice started all 32 games for GW last season and also led the team in 3-point field goals (64). He averaged 2.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.
