ORLANDO, Fla. -- The New Jersey Nets cannot seem to get a break to go in their favor.

| Van Horn |
The struggling franchise suffered another blow Tuesday night when forward Keith Van Horn broke his left leg in a 99-94 loss to the Orlando Magic. Van Horn will be out 4-6 weeks.
The fourth-year forward was going after a rebound with Orlando's Don Reid and Bo Outlaw in the second quarter when he landed awkwardly and broke his left fibula.
Van Horn, who will turn 25 on Oct. 23, averaged 19.9 points and 7.8 rebounds over his first three seasons. The 6-foot-10 forward was an All-America at Utah and was the second overall pick of the 1997 draft.
The Nets contended with major injury woes with Jayson Williams over the past few seasons. Williams elected to retire this past offseason. | |
