DENVER -- The Denver Nuggets' search for a general manager
intensified Monday as three candidates with NBA management
experience interviewed for the position.
Larry Harris, director of player personnel for the Milwaukee
Bucks; Billy McKinney, executive vice president for the Seattle
SuperSonics; and former New Jersey Nets general manager John Nash
met separately with president and coach Dan Issel and team owner
Stan Kroenke.
Rob Babcock, director of player personnel for the Minnesota
Timberwolves, and Portland Trail Blazers assistant general manager
Mark Warkentien were scheduled for interviews Tuesday.
Former Nuggets forward Kiki Vandeweghe, currently working in
player development for the Dallas Mavericks, met with Issel last
week.
The Nuggets also plan to meet with San Antonio vice president
and assistant general manager R.C. Buford.
