Huffman has played only seven games this season

Associated Press

TORONTO -- Toronto Raptors center Nate Huffman is out indefinitely with a sore right knee.

The 7-foot-1 rookie, who had been day-to-day with the injury, averaged 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in just seven games. He had surgery on the knee earlier this season.

Huffman signed a three year, $5.1 million contract with Toronto over the summer after averaging 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds for Israeli League champion Maccabi Elite Tel-Aviv last season.

The native of Battle Creek, Mich., was the MVP of both the Suproleague and Israeli League for the 2000-01 season.

Injuries have depleted the Raptors' lineup. Vince Carter, Antonio Davis, Lamond Murray, Voshon Lenard, Eric Montross, Michael Bradley and Lindsey Hunter have been sidelined.
