LOS ANGELES -- The Lakers' injury clouds may be lifting.
Before Thursday's 106-87 loss to the Mavericks, Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he expects Kobe Bryant to participate in Saturday's shootaround at Utah and said it is possible that Bryant could be healed enough from his sprained shoulder to play against the Jazz.
"It's an option," Jackson said.
Power forward Karl Malone is expected to be out at least another week.
O'Neal has missed 13 games and Bryant has missed five. Malone, on the injured list for the first time in his NBA career, has missed 16 games now with a sprained ligament in his right knee.
