Forward out with sprained neck

INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers forward Jermaine O'Neal
missed Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a sprained neck.

O'Neal, voted a starter for the All-Star game for the second consecutive season, injured his neck in the second quarter after blocking a shot against Boston in Saturday's 99-98 victory over the Celtics.

The play gave O'Neal 700 blocks for his career, making him only the fourth Pacer to reach the milestone.

O'Neal leads the Pacers in scoring (20.4), rebounding (10.4) and
is fourth in the league in blocked shots with 2.72.
