LOS ANGELES -- Dahntay Jones scored 28 points and J.R. Smith
added 21 points and nine assists in leading the Baron Davis
All-Stars to a 118-117 win over the Paul Pierce All-Stars in an
NBA-sanctioned event Sunday.

The game was held to raise funds for the Baron Davis Foundation
and the Paul Pierce Truth Foundation, which provide support for
underprivileged inner city youth.
Rickey Davis paced the Pierce All-Stars with 37 points, while
Cutino Mobley added 25. Pierce scored 12 points and grabbed 12
rebounds.
Joe Johnson contributed 11 points, and Jason Richardson 10.
The teams combined to shoot 106 3-point shots. Davis led both
teams, converting 5 of his 17 attempts.
Damon Jones scored 15 points for the Pierce team, with four
assists. They outrebounded the Davis All-Stars 54-48.
Davis scored 23 points to lead both teams in scoring at halftime
but his team trailed 74-72.
In a preliminary game played between athletes, actors and
recording artists, the Baron team, led by Snoop Dogg and Terrell
Owens, beat the Pierce team, paced by Reggie Bush and KiJana
Carter, 50-42.
