EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Los Angeles Lakers forwards Lamar Odom and Luke Walton were examined by doctors on Monday and neither
figure to be playing anytime soon.
Odom was injured in Friday night's loss to Sacramento, tearing a
labrum in his left shoulder.
He will be re-examined in two weeks, Lakers spokesman John Black
said Monday.
Walton, who has missed the last 17 games with an injured right
ankle, will not make the upcoming road trip with the team.
There is no timetable for either of the forwards to return to
the lineup.
Odom underwent
an MRI exam Saturday that revealed a torn labrum. He didn't travel to Phoenix for a game on Sunday
and will see a doctor Monday.
Odom got hurt when he was fouled by Sacramento's Brad Miller
with 2:47 remaining of a 116-108 loss. Odom finished with 26
points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
Black said the team would not speculate on whether Odom could be
sidelined indefinitely.
It was the second major injury of the season for Odom, who
missed one month because of a sprained right ankle before returning
Jan. 27.
Two years ago, Odom sustained the same left shoulder injury,
underwent surgery and missed the final two months of the season.
Kwame Brown returned Friday night after missing 27 games because of a severely sprained right ankle.
