Kings sign Israeli Casspi to contract

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings have signed Israeli forward Omri Casspi, their second first-round pick last month.

Casspi was the 23rd overall pick by the Kings, who signed fourth overall pick Tyreke Evans earlier in the week.

Casspi, the first player from Israel to be drafted in the NBA's first round, is a 21-year-old with a slashing offensive game. He could make $3.26 million in his first three years, according to the NBA's rookie salary scale.
