PHOENIX -- Sacramento rookie DeMarcus Cousins did not make the trip to Phoenix for the game against the Suns on Sunday night because of an incident in the locker room following the Kings' 99-97 home loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday.
Samuel Dalembert started in Cousins' place and notched 18 points and 15 rebounds as the Kings ended their five-game losing streak with a 113-108 win.
"We missed Cuz tonight but we couldn't dwell on it," Donte Greene said after the win. "We had to come out and still play well."
Following Saturday's loss, Cousins reportedly was upset that Greene had not passed him the ball for the final shot in the game.
In a brief statement issued before Sunday night's game, the Kings said Cousins "will not play in tonight's game while the organization reviews the situation that occurred in the locker room."
Greene passed the ball to Tyreke Evans, who missed a 3-point attempt.
Cousins scored 14 points in the game on 5-of-14 shooting.
Despite the incident, Greene seems to harbor no ill feelings.
"Things happen," he said. "Everybody is not perfect. We try not to let things off the court distract us on the court. It is life. Everybody is not perfect and we've got to move on."
