Tuesday, Feb. 19 4:02pm ET Celtics activate F Brown; placed G Forte on IL BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics on Tuesday activated rookie forward Kedrick Brown, who has missed the last 12 games with a sprained right ankle. The second of three first-round picks by the Celtics and the 11th overall selection, Brown has played in just 17 games, including three starts, this season. The Celtics placed rookie guard Joseph Forte, the third of their first-round picks, on the injured list with a left ankle sprain to make room on the roster for Brown. The first junior college player ever taken in the first round of the draft, Brown is averaging just 2.0 points in 9.8 minutes and shooting 30 percent from the field. Forte has played in only six games with Boston and has scored a total of four points.
