News: 4 days agoWood finished with 13 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 26 minutes during Monday's preseason game against Toronto.
Spin: Wood failed to knock down a shot from deep, but he was productive inside the arc and contributed across the board. He's put up double figures in the scoring column in two of three exhibitions and is averaging 11.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 block with one preseason contest remaining.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Last season, Wood proved that the promise he showed late in his tenure with the Pistons could translate to a full featured role. He averaged 21.0 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 1.9 3PG, 1.2 BPG and 0.8 SPG in 32.3 MPG for the Rockets, mixing excellent volume with unique category contributions to establish his fantasy basketball prowess. He only played 41 games due to injuries, and his free throw percentage dipped by 10 points down to 63.1%, so he has some areas to improve, but if he gets those straightened out he should be an elite fantasy basketball center this season.
