- Ingram wears a suit playing basketball
News: 3 days agoIngram (knee) practiced Wednesday and is expected to be ready for the regular-season opener Oct. 20 against the 76ers, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Ingram injured his knee in the preseason opener and hasn't played since, but he'll presumably be available for the regular-season opener. That's great news for the Pelicans, as it still remains unclear if Zion Williamson (foot) will be ready for opening night.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ingram's 2020-21 season was almost a carbon copy of his 2019-20 season from a box score perspective, with nearly identical production in every category. However, he did improve his playmaking to a career-best 4.9 APG, and with both Lonzo Ball and Eric Bledsoe relocated and the Pelicans playing a more traditional single lead guard lineup, Ingram could take on even more playmaking this season. Ingram just turned 24 years old in September, and still has upside to his game that could help him have a career campaign this season.
