Michael Jordan had some big moments at the World's Most Famous Arena. Some of our favorites:
Nov. 8, 1984:
He's been a pro for all of six games when he hits Madison Square Garden for the first time. Jordan pours in 33 points -- his career-high at that point -- and the Bulls win 121-106. He walks off the floor in the fourth quarter to a standing ovation.

Nov. 1, 1986:
He starts the game 0-for-8 from the field. He finishes the game with 50 points -- 21 of which came in the fourth quarter.
April 19, 1988:
Said Knicks coach Rick Pitino: "Michael Jordan was as great as I have ever seen him." Why? Jordan scored 47 points in a 121-118 win over New York that helped him win the NBA scoring title with 37.1 points per game.
May 9, 1989:
Jordan records his first career playoff triple-double at The Garden in a 120-109 win. Bulls go on to win the Eastern Conference semifinal in six games.
June 2, 1993:
Jordan, who will retire for the first time at the end of the season, has his second career triple-double -- 29 points, 10 rebouds and 14 assists -- as Bulls take 3-2 lead over Knicks in Eastern Conference finals.

March 28, 1995:
Jordan's back from his foray into baseball, and puts up his famous "double nickel" -- 55 points in a 113-11 win. His key play in the game, however, was a game-winning assist to Bill Wennington with three seconds left.
Feb. 8, 1998:
Jordan comes to New York for the All-Star Game and was named the MVP with 23 points, eight assists and six rebounds. He retires for the second time at the end of the season. It's the third time Jordan's been named the All-Star Game MVP.
Oct. 30, 2001:
Jordan returns to the NBA for the third time, this time in the blue of the Washington Wizards. He scores 19 points, but the Wizards lose 93-91.
March 9, 2003:
In his final game at MSG, Jordan scores a game-high 39 points in 43 minutes, including 19 in the second quarter. However, the Wizards lose 97-96 to the Knicks.
