The Houston Rockets made a pair of deadline deals to boost their bench as they jockey for position in the Western Conference standings.
Houston acquired guard Pablo Prigioni from the New York Knicks for guard Alexey Shved and a pair of future second-round picks, the team announced Thursday.
The Rockets also picked up rookie guard K.J. McDaniels from the Philadelphia 76ers for Isaiah Canaan and a 2015 second-round pick. The pick is actually the Nuggets' second-rounder that the Rockets possessed.
The players dealt were among 39 to change hands Thursday, a day that marked the busiest NBA trade deadline day in 25 years.
Prigioni took to Twitter to thank the Knicks organization.
I want to thank the Knicks Family for giving me the opportunity to play for such an amazing organization over the past few seasons
