Pero Antic signing with Fenerbahce Ulker after stint with Hawks

Pero Antic is leaving the Atlanta Hawks for a deal with Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey, his agent said Tuesday.

The deal is for two years, agent Misko Raznatovic said via Twitter.

Antic, a 6-foot-11 power forward, played the past two seasons with the Hawks, averaging 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.5 minutes. He previously played several seasons in Europe, including helping Olympiacos Piraeus of Greece win consecutive Euroleague titles in 2012 and '13.

The 32-year-old Antic, of Macedonia, made news off the court when he and Hawks teammate Thabo Sefolosha were arrested April 8 and charged with interfering with efforts of local police to set up a crime scene following the stabbing of Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland in New York.

Antic and Sefolosha have contested the charges. Their trial has been set for Sept. 9 in New York City.
