Craig Sager to work NBA opening night for Turner after cancer battle

Turner Sports reporter Craig Sager, after his latest round of chemotherapy treatments for leukemia, will be getting back to work when the NBA season tips off on Oct. 27.

The 64-year-old veteran broadcaster, known for his colorful outfits, will work the sideline of the game between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans.

Sager was released from the hospital on Oct. 8 -- 18 days early from what was supposed to be a 100-day hospital stay after a recurrence in late March. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014 and had returned to work in early March after reportedly receiving a bone-marrow and stem-cell transplant from his son.
