AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Detroit Pistons guard Jodie Meeks will miss the next three to four months of the NBA season after foot surgery.
The Pistons said Friday that the procedure was done to repair a nondisplaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal in Meeks' right foot.
The 28-year-old Meeks, a sixth-year pro from Kentucky, had averaged 8.5 minutes per game in the first two games of the season for Detroit, both wins. He left Wednesday's game against Utah with the injury, and the surgery was performed the next day.
