Court records show the former Denver Nuggets guard was charged with drunken driving, speeding and other offenses in January but pleaded guilty Thursday to driving while ability impaired and a lane violation. He faces up to 180 days in jail when he is sentenced Jan. 14.
Lawson also was arrested on drunken driving charges in Los Angeles in July.
A Denver judge in July ordered the 28-year-old to complete a 30-day residential treatment program at Cliffside Malibu, a celebrity rehabilitation center in California, before allowing the case to proceed. The same month, the Nuggets traded Lawson to the Rockets.
