Rudy Gay injures shoulder on drive

Heat fend off Kings (1:30)

Rajon Rondo's near triple-double of 18 assists, 14 points and nine rebounds is not enough as the Kings fall to the Heat 116-109. (1:30)

MIAMI -- Sacramento forward Rudy Gay left the Kings' 116-109 loss to the Miami Heat on Thursday after straining his left shoulder.

Gay was hurt in the third quarter driving to the basket as Miami's Justise Winslow took a swipe at the ball. Gay immediately grabbed his shoulder and left the game. He finished with 13 points in 25 minutes.

In 2011, Gay had season-ending surgery to repair a left shoulder subluxation.
