DENVER -- Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried started and played 27 minutes in Sunday's 112-106 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers one night after being taken off the court on a stretcher following a neck injury.
Faried said he's "doing much better" on Sunday after undergoing testing and spending the night in the hospital as a precaution following a loss to the Golden State Warriors the night before.
Faried's CT scan was normal, and he started Sunday night's game, in which he had 13 points and nine rebounds, after being listed as questionable.
Faried posted on Instagram earlier Sunday that he's "a little sore, but I'm the Manimal -- I'm not going to [let] this keep me down & out long!"
Faried took an elbow to the back of the neck while fighting for a rebound late in overtime. He rubbed his neck before lying down at the end of Denver's bench.
