Julius Randle fined $15,000 for gesture after game-winning shot

LOS ANGELES -- The NBA has fined Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle $15,000 for making an "obscene gesture" after he sank the winning shot in Wednesday's overtime victory against the Miami Heat.

The league announced the fine Friday, less than 48 hours after Randle made a tie-breaking hook shot with 1.9 seconds left and then made the gesture.

"I was just having fun, but it's all right," Randle said after practice Friday. "It's no big deal. Now the joke can be on me. On to the next one."

Randle finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds in Los Angeles' 102-100 victory, recording his 33rd double-double this season.

A second-year forward out of Kentucky, he is averaging 11.6 points and 10.2 rebounds, making him one of nine players in the NBA to average a double-double this season.
