Stephen Curry's ankle injury to keep him sidelined for Christmas Day game vs. Cavs

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won't play in the team's Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle.

On Tuesday, the Warriors announced that Curry's injury had been re-evaluated, and while he's progressing, the team won't evaluate him again until next week. That timetable rules Curry out for Monday's NBA Finals rematch against the Cavs.

Curry rolled his right ankle late in a road victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 4.

Golden State (24-6) has won five straight games without him and nine in a row overall.

Also for Golden State, forward Draymond Green (right shoulder), guard Shaun Livingston (right knee) and center Zaza Pachulia (left shoulder) are questionable for Wednesday's game against Memphis.
