Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic did not play in Saturday's 144-115 loss at the Chicago Bulls, as the team ruled him out with a right quadriceps strain.
Doncic mentioned feeling quad pain after logging 37 minutes during a 106-105 loss to the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, when he posted 33 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds.
The Bulls capitalized. DeMar DeRozan had 28 points and nine rebounds, and Nikola Vucevic added 20 points and eight rebounds, helping Chicago to win its second straight victory. The Bulls shot a season-high 63.5% from the floor in their biggest-offensive output of the season.
The Mavericks also ruled out forward Maxi Kleber (right foot soreness) and guard Josh Green (right elbow sprain), who both played Friday. Spencer Dinwiddie had 27 points for short-handed Dallas in the loss.
The Mavericks will begin a three-game homestand on Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Doncic is considered probable to play, Kleber is questionable, and Green is out.
