Eastern Conference finals Game 1 results: Miami Heat win 123-116 to steal home court advantage

The No. 8 seed Miami Heat defeated the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics 123-116 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals to take a 1-0 series lead and steal home-court advantage in the series.

The Heat fell behind by as many as 13 points in the second quarter, but went on a run at the end of the first half and carried that run out of halftime to tie the game early in the third quarter. The Heat ultimately outscored the Celtics 46-25 in the third quarter, and those 46 points ties the team's most in any quarter this season -- regular season or postseason. The Celtics allowed the most points in any playoff quarter over the past 25 years.

The series will stay in Boston for Game 2 as the Celtics look to avoid losing the first two games of the series in their own building.
